Beaufort Marines over Bosnia
VMFA(AW)-332 and VMFA(AW)-533
During the 1990's, the US was involved in a number of military
operations over Bosnia. At the forefront of many of these
operations were the F/A-18D's of the US Marine Corps.
Flying from bases in Hungary and Italy, these aircraft and their
crews provided SEAD, FAC, and precision strike missions on
targets throughout the region.
This sheet provides markings for 3 aircraft, the Commanding
Officers jet from VMFA(AW)-533 and 2 aircraft from VMFA(AW)-332.
The first ATARS equipped Delta to see combat and one of the
aircraft that participated in the massive strike mission on the
airfield at Udbina in November 1994.
Markings for ejection seats, landing gear, aircrew patches, LAU-7
wing tip launchers, correct late style LEX vents, chaff/flare
buckets and four AGM-65E/F Maverick missiles are also included
(a first)!
Research by the Flying Leathernecks with the assistance of Capt.
J. Janay of VMFA(AW)-533.
